I first met Mike Chin some years ago through songwriting workshops and retreats that we both attended on a regular basis.

When I gave him the lyrics for Kill The Lights, I never imagined he'd come back with a song that had such a unique and extraordinary sound... yet again, a wonderful, unexpected outcome when surrendering to creative synergy!

Lyrics

V1 We’re trying to find a way through the darkness in our heads Our dreams are ravaged nightly as we’re laying in our beds The lonely face of moonlight only makes us cry That hollow mask could be our last goodbye CH/TAG Quiet please (kill the lights) Set the scene (don’t make me fight) Quiet please (kill the lights) Set the scene (don’t make me fight) V2 Who are they to make decisions? Who are they to judge our souls? Breathing airs of righteousness, adding to the toll They say that chains are broken and try to cast the blame But the rules were set (before I joined) before I joined the game CH/TAG Quiet please (kill the lights) Set the scene (don’t make me fight) Quiet please (kill the lights) Quiet please Bridge Deprivation feeding incubation Accusations starving expectation Deprivation feeding incubation Accusations starving expectation CH Quiet please (kill the lights) Set the scene (don’t make me fight) Quiet please (kill the lights) Set the scene (don’t make me fight) Quiet please (kill the lights) Set the scene (don’t make me fight) Quiet please (kill the lights) Set the scene (don’t make me fight)
